YouWager joined the online sportsbook scene in 1994 out of San Jose, Costa Rica and is known as one of the more under the radar sports betting sites. It has received mixed reviews. Complaints have stemmed mostly from long annoying processes to deposit and receive payouts but that was mostly in the early years of their existence. However, they have been noted for improving significantly over the last several years, to where they are referenced as one of the best online sportsbooks.

Understand now this is something of a second division gambling website that may lack in certain areas but may make up for it in more specific ones depending on what you are most interested in. That will be the case with any website that isn’t at the top of the online gambling food chain. If there was absolutely nothing about them that stood out they wouldn’t stay in business. You get an idea of what you are dealing with right when you go to the homepage. It isn’t fancy or colorful. The website has a simple setup and is easy to navigate.

Availability, Limits, and Currency

No countries are restricted from YouWager and they deal in U.S. dollars. The minimum bet online is $1 and maximums vary. Should you decide to place any bets over the phone, the minimum is $25. You can also bet from any type of smart phone or tablet.

There are a lot of different sports to bet on. All the major professional sports you would find on TV as well as some other games gaining popularity like eSports. The options are slightly more limited compared to some of the other major sites as you will not find games like darts, snooker, or cricket.

Other Games to Play

YouWager offers multiple other gaming options in addition to their sports betting. The casino games are baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and casino hold’em. Live Casino Dealer has also just recently opened. There are no downloads as you can stream them right from your web browser in HD Video Stream.

YouWager also features a poker room and boasts the fastest payouts. Their poker section has tournaments and cash games for real or play money. Their games are No Limit Texas Hold’em and Omaha.

If you are a horse player, there is an online racebook that allows you to bet on horse racing at over 40 tracks including the major racing events like the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, the Belmont Stakes, and the Breeder’s Cup. The bets available are like the ones you would find at a live racetrack and there is a section on the site explaining what each bet is.

How to Deposit

The site states there are 5 ways to fund your account even though it only lists 4. They are Bitcoin, Bank Wire, Money Transfer, or your Credit Card.

Bitcoin does not charge any fee and the limits are $1,000 per individual transaction. Capping at $3,000 a week and $6,000 a month. This is relatively low compared to what other sites will allow.

You can use your Visa credit or debit card. All you need to do is buy a payment voucher. This is probably the best option if you aren’t using Bitcoin for sports betting since there are no fees.

YouWager will reimburse your fee for any transfer over $300 with Western Union and $100 with MoneyGram.

How to Withdraw

As most sites offer, you can receive a free payout every 30 days. The difference between Youwager and other sites is you must make at least one bet each of the 4 weeks leading up to your withdrawal whereas most sites allow you to withdraw without such conditions.

You can get a check but they are expensive, $55 and only up to $2,500 with a $500 maximum.

You can get a money transfer using MoneyGram or Western Union. The withdraw ranges from $600 to $750 and the fees vary but are more towards the expensive side. The transfers do at least turn around quickly, usually inside of 24 hours.

Bank Wires are also offered at a minimum of $10,000 up to $25,000. YouWager also charges a 1% fee in addition to what the bank may charge. The $10,000 minimum is very high compared to other sites some of which allow you to do for as little as $2,500.

YouWager started accepting Bitcoin in 2016. The most you can withdraw at once is $1,000 and you may do this up to 3 times a week. You will receive you withdraw on the same day provided you submit your request before 12:00 PM ET.

Bonus Promotions

YouWager will give you a 50% deposit bonus up to $300. For example, if you deposit $100, they will match you with $50. You must be a newcomer and this offer is one time.

If you use Bitcoin, the most recommended method you will receive a 60% bonus also up to $300. Note that both of these bonuses are in the form of a free sports play.

There is a 15% reload bonus for deposits under $500 but you must be from North America to be eligible. The rollover policy is 4.5x and 30 days. Rollover means if you deposit $100 with a 15% bonus ($15), you take the sum of those 2 numbers (which is $115) and multiply it by 4.5 which is $517.50. That is how much total money you must wager before you can claim your bonus.

If you reload for over $500 the reload bonus goes up to 20% with the same rollover policy. Note that your free plays are only usable for straight bets and moneylines no greater than +190.

Other bonus options include the Cash Back Program, offered 2 times a year. The first one is shortly after the Super Bowl and the second is on August 1. If you have deposited between $500 and $999 and have given 10 weeks of action during the cash back period, you are eligible for a 15% rebate. If you have deposited upwards of $1,000, your rebate is 25% which is among the highest in the industry. Given that this site has a lot of other limitations compared to the other sites, its rebate option is going to be the one thing that might be the difference between giving action to YouWager or somebody else.

Note that what constitutes a “week of action” is placing at least 1 bet during that week that has reached its outcome.

If you refer a friend to the site, you will receive a free play bonus that is 50% of what your friend initially deposited.

Note that the total limit of the free play bonus is $500 and you only receive 50% for the first $200. After that, it is 20%. That means if they deposit $300, you receive 50% of $200 ($100) and 20% of the remaining $100 ($20). So, the total of the free play you can claim is $120. It’s a little confusing but this is all thoroughly explained on the site.

The bonus comes in 30 days after the deposit has taken place. The person you have referred must also satisfy the 4.5x rollover AND the 30 day waiting period for you to receive the bonus otherwise you will not. Your account must be active when they sign up. The only way you can still receive the bonus without them satisfying the 4.5x rollover is if they lose all the money from their initial deposit before the 30 days pass. When signing up through a referral, do not forget to mention the friend’s name and account number.

The Loyalty Program is designed to give you as much credit for making a $2 bet as you would for $100. This is to appeal those who only wish to wager small figures. It obviously is less incentivizing for those are trying to bet bigger but most of the bettors out there are either betting small for fun or trying to make money by doing heavy volume. The site shows the chart of how many free play dollars you earn based on points accumulated. The loyalty points can be earned playing any of the games on the site.

The Bad Beat Special allows you to get a rebate if you keep losing straight bets ½ point. Should you lose a bet by ½ a point and then lose another within 30 days, submit your claim and once it is verified, you will be refunded the smaller of the 2 bets and then it starts all over again. The most you can be refunded is $250 and the refund is for free play only. Note that this is not applicable to an NFL or college football game with a spread of 3.5 or less. The ½ point margin only applies to college and professional football and basketball.

Despite the provisions this is a very unique promotion that incentivizes you to not worry about getting screwed at the end of a game over and over in a short period of time.

There are contest brackets available for college basketball during March Madness as well as the NIT.

More On Football

Only during the NFL season, if you place your bets between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM on a Friday night, you will receive a discount on the juice. Instead of the normal -110, you get a big discount of -105 which will help save or make a lot more money in the long run. If you are betting on football, it is often a good idea to wait towards the end of the week to make your pick anyway so if you are an avid football bettor, getting the -105 juice when it is offered during this brief window is not something you will want to miss out on.

There is a detailed handicapping contest offered only for the regular season.

There also are contests for Monday Night and Thursday Night Football that entail guessing the exact score of the game. If you do, you can get either a $5,000 free play bonus for the Monday game and $2,500 for Thursday. Note that you must be active with your account and have placed a real money within the last 21 days before the game. This does not include any free plays you might have used.
