Meadowlands to Introduce Casino Plan

The Meadowlands will introduce a plan to build a casino at its famous racetrack in northern New Jersey.  It would be branded as a Hard Rock.  The state is currently in the process of wording a ballot question that will allow voters to decide if the state constitution should be changed to allow casinos outside of Atlantic City.  Lawmakers in southern New Jersey and Atlantic City casino executives oppose casinos outside of Atlantic City.

Nevada Tourists Will Soon Have Uber Available

Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval signed two bills into law that will allow ridesharing companies like Uber and Lyft in the state.  The bill will allow the Public Utility Commission to draft regulations that would allow these companies to pick up tourists and locals in the state’s major cities.  It also included a three percent tax on all fares.  This new tax would also apply to taxis and limousines.
