With the addition of Cromwell and other similar casino hotel properties in Las Vegas, the Strip has been seeing more and more boutique style creations. These destinations have become popular and are noted for their high end accommodations. Currently, Cromwell is the most expensive property in the Caesars Entertainment portfolio. Lucky Dragon, the newest casino near the Las Vegas Strip is looking to cash in on this new trend.
The casino and hotel will be located a very short distance from the bulk of the Las Vegas action, right on Sahara Avenue. Unlike many of the mega resorts in town, Lucky Dragon will only have a total of 37 table games to choose from, in addition to just 300 slot machines. Given the Asian theme of this new casino, it is a safe assumption that the room will have a focus on baccarat, pai gow, and other traditional Asian pit games.
Beyond the nearly 30,000 sq. ft. gaming area is a hotel that will feature 200 rooms. The casino is set to open on December 3rd, 2016, just in time for Chinese New Years, one of the busiest times in Las Vegas all year. If you would like to stay at the property, reservations will be made available as of October 1st, and it is likely they will be sold out very quickly.
The Lucky Dragon Las Vegas will not only focus on Asian casino games, but they will also highlight many popular Asian cultural events. Tea will be readily available, 24/7 throughout the property, Chinese and other Asian holidays will be celebrated, and the casino will be decorated in traditional Asian decor. Whether you are of Asian descent or not, this new casino will be a very unique addition to the Las Vegas hotel scene.
