Casino Cosmopol Stockholm was the last Cosmopol Casino property to be established, opening its doors on March 13th, 2003. It was the company’s first location in Sweden’s capital of Stockholm. Not only is this the newest, but it’s also the largest of the company’s four casinos.
Stockholm is a world-famous city that encompasses 14 islands which are all connected by over 50 bridges. The old part of the city is where there are many architectural and cultural attractions. These include the cobblestone streets, ochre-colored buildings, Storkyrkan Cathedral, the Kungliga Slottet Royal Palace, and the Nobel Museum.
Located in the center of Stockholm, this casino is a 42 km drive from the Stockholm Arlanda International Airport. Renting a car or taking a taxi can be a viable option for some, but there is also public transportation available, primarily busses.
This large casino contains 46 tables and 412 slot machines. Like other Cosmopol properties, Casino Cosmopol Stockholm is home to various areas that provide different services to their players. The building is divided into a reception area, a gaming hall, poker room, restaurant and bar, and a sports lounge.
The amount of games and the variations available for each game at the casino is one of its main attractions. Some of the most popular events at this casino are their poker tournaments and cash games, which are hosted daily.
Besides gambling, Casino Cosmopol provides quality dining in the form of their single restaurant. The bar provides light meals and drinks as well, but the restaurant has a fresh menu featuring both upscale and casual dishes. The restaurant at Cosmopol Stockholm is the most extravagant among their 4 properties, and the international menu here not only attracts casino-goers, but also the general public.
Operating hours at Cosmopol Casino Stockholm are 11:30 AM-5:00 AM daily. The table games open in the afternoon and poker events often start at 6 PM.
The 46 tables available at Casino Cosmopol Stockholm are split between roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and of course, poker.
There are two different areas where you will find these table games. The first is the main gaming hall where you will find all the roulette, blackjack and baccarat as well as a few “player vs. dealer” poker games. The other area is the poker room which offers all of the casino’s cash games and tournaments.
American Roulette is the variation played here, and there are 3 tables available. Each one offers the same betting limits which go up to a maximum of 250 SEK per spin.
The rest of the tables in the main gaming hall are split between blackjack, baccarat, and poker variants. The majority of the blackjack games are standard blackjack and Face Down Blackjack. There are a few Punto Banco Baccarat and Oasis Poker tables. These are the only poker games that are played against the dealer out on the main gaming floor.
The poker room is home to a selection of sit & go and tournament tables which are available daily in the evenings.
Casino Cosmopol Stockholm features 412 slot machines which are all found out in the main gaming hall. Slot machines and electronic card games are all available. The bulk of the electronic games are made up of slots which offer all sorts of titles and various betting limits. The minimum and maximum bet for slot machines are 1 SEK and 25 SEK respectively.
The remaining electronic games are split between video poker machines and a virtual blackjack tables.
