Located on the Northeast coast of Gran Canaria (the 2nd most populous of the Canary Islands) is Casino Las Palmas. This casino first opened its doors to the public all the way back in 1988.

If you plan on taking a trip to the historic casino you will have to keep in mind that the island is only accessible by ferry or plane. The recommended way to get there would be by ferry since the casino is walking distance from the port in Las Palmas.

Las Palmas is the capital of Gran Canaria and is a major cruise-ship port. The city is known for duty-free shopping and its sandy beaches – at Playa de Las Canteras, a coral barrier lines the beach and shelters swimmers.

If you want to enter Casino Las Palmas you must be at least 18 years old. Their dress code lets you wear anything except for the following: shorts, sleeveless t-shirts, hats, beachwear and sports clothing (such as hoodies).

Casino Las Palmas

The casino is one of the most elegant establishments on the entire island which is evident by the interior décor. The walls of the main gaming floor are painted red and there are many bright signs with neon lights that point out the different table games.

The casino is a very popular place for non-gambling events on weekends which include large sporting events, live music events, and comedy shows. Sports in particular draw in large crowds, as the casino has a sports betting section with several electronic consoles where you can place bets via Sportium.

Casino Las Palmas is open every day of the year except December 24th for Christmas Eve. The Machine Gaming Room and the Table Games Room have different schedules. The table games room is open 7 days a week from 5:00 PM until 4:00 AM. The slot machine room’s operating hours are every day from 10:00 AM to 4:00 AM.
