Northern Spain is a coastal area along the Bay of Biscay which is home to the autonomous region of Cantabria, and Gran Casino Sardinero is located here in the town of Santander. The casino is situated on a small peninsula that is full of hotels and other popular tourist destinations.
There are plenty of activities to do outside of the casino in this part of Spain. Some of the most popular nearby tourist attractions are Camello Beach, Bikini Beach, the terrorist victim remembrance monument, and the Dunas del Puntal nature reserve and estuary.
Seve Ballesteros-Santander Airport is the closest airport and is only 9 km away. The 15-minute drive can be done by car or taxi. There is also a bus service that operates in the city as well.
Gran Casino Sardinero is fairly large and is located inside of an old, extravagant building that has a long history. Before is was a casino, the building was known as a place where aristocrats would host parties. Today the casino is divided into different gaming, dining, and entertainment areas. There is a restaurant, numerous bars, and plenty of slot machines and table games.
There are various attractions at this casino aside from gambling, and its splendor is a characteristic that keeps people interested. It has musical areas that provide live music as well as a sports viewing and betting area with many flat screen HDTVs as well as sports betting facilities.

Both of these hotels are similarly priced at around €120 per night for a standard room and contain similar amenities such as WiFi, a restaurant, and a bar.
There is a restaurant as well as a number of bars and cafes available in the Gran Casino Sardinero building. The restaurant is popular with both gamblers and non-gamblers alike and has an entrance directly to the public. It is open daily in the evening.
Other nearby restaurant options include Restaurante La Canía, Los Infantes, Telepizza. La Canía is open all day starting at 8 AM and features a menu with various cuisines. Los Infantes and Telepizza are only open from lunch and offers Cantabrian cuisine while Telepizza is a pizza shop.
