The Bank Casino & Card Club was reopened in 2009 after the owners decided to upgrade and remodel their facility. This poker-focused casino is located in Clarkes Bridge House at 22 Hanover Street in the center of Cork, Ireland. The casino has been owned by the original partners since its initial opening and they do not own any other casinos, hotels, or restaurants.

The center of Cork is easily accessible for guests and guests can fly to the nearest airport, Cork International Airport. It is a 15-minute (10 km) drive from Cork International to the casino, and transportation is limited to car rentals or taxis.

Cork is home to many popular tourist destinations that are within the vicinity of The Bank Casino & Card Club. The closest options that are within walking distance include Elizabeth Fort, Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral, Cork Rebel Pub Crawl, and the Great War Memorial.

The only formality at The Bank Casino & Card Club is related to age. Guests need to be older than 18 to enter the casino, in accordance to Irish gambling laws and identification will be checked upon entry. There is no formal dress code in place, but guests are asked to wear a shirt and closed shoes.

Casino at The Bank Card Club

The casino was remodelled in 2009 with no changes being made to the size, but the layout, style, and décor were updated to match modern trends. The gaming area is only spread over a single floor but is large enough to include their variety of poker and other table games on offer.

The Bank Casino & Card Club is popular for its poker offering with various hosted events, while it still spreads a few traditional casino table games to keep guests entertained. Players are welcome to complimentary drinks and light snacks, which are available from the bar.

Limits vary depending on the game but only their poker cash games, tournaments, and special events offer guests an opportunity to play higher limits. The stakes vary and are made known to guests before the start of the game.

The casino is open every day from 11 PM until “late”. Guests are allowed to finish their games at their own pace and aren’t rushed out at a specific time.

Table Games at The Bank Casino & Card Club

Poker is the focus of The Bank Casino & Card Club but they do have other table games available, namely roulette and blackjack. Both of these games have a single table and can be found in the main gaming area as you enter the casino.

American Roulette is the variety played and it is quite popular among gamblers who have finished a Poker tournament. There is a blackjack table for those that wish to play a different card game with no special variations of the game (like Spanish 21 or Free Bet Blackjack) being offered.

There are numerous poker tables, each offering a different variety of the game. Plus, daily cash game poker tables run 7 days a week with large buy-in tournaments taking place monthly.

One of the great aspects of the casino is that there is always a table open for poker cash games with several variations including; Texas Hold‘em, Omaha and Five Card Draw. The minimum and maximum bets are the same at all of the non-event tables; while tournament event buy-ins will change according to the event rules; such as freezeouts, rebuys, and so on.
