Casino Federación is located in a small city of the same name, in the northeastern part of Entre Ríos, Argentina. It lies on the provincial and international border with Uruguay, by the reservoir of the Salto Grande Dam, on the western banks of the Uruguay River.
The recommended way to spend your day in Federación, besides gambling at the casino, is at the Salto Grande Dam or on the Uruguay river enjoying one of the many water sports available. You can also spend the day shopping in the town.
The only way to get to the town of Federación is to take the bus from the nearest big city to an airport and that city is Concordia. To get to Concordia airport one will have to first fly there via Buenos Aires International airport, from where you will most likely enter the country.
There isn’t much to say about the external appearance of the casino because it is inside of a small shopping complex that is home to a few restaurants and a hotel. The entire building is white and plain and you can locate the casino from a large neon-blue sign that reads “Casino”.
The casino has a small room with one large table for poker tournaments. These tournaments do not feature a lot of players (maximum 10 per tournament) but the prize pool has been known to reach as high as $5000 in the past.
The casino is sometimes rented out for private events such as live music concerts, karaoke and stand up comedy shows. These are private events that use the casino space and you will have to look at their Facebook page for more information on this. The casino is open daily from 3 PM to 3 AM.
There isn’t a very large selection of table games at this casino, with a total of only 5 table games. At 4 of these tables, American roulette is played. The limits at these tables are as follows: half the tables have minimum and maximum bets allowed of $10 and $100 and the other two tables have minimum and maximum bets allowed of $20 and $200.
There is also one electronic roulette machine that does not require the use of a croupier because it is fully automatic. The electronic roulette machine has minimum and maximum bets allowed of $1 and $50.
The only other table game at this casino is Texas hold ‘em poker but there are no live cash games. The casino only hosts tournaments, which are held regularly. Buy-ins will contribute to the total prize pool as you would expect and there is a registration fee to compensate the casino for the dealers.

There’s also an informal restaurant/bar and a seasonal outdoor pool.
Mediterráneo Apart Hotel provides quiet rooms with a cozy feel to it. The rooms sleep two people maximum and cost $50 per night. This hotel offers a complimentary breakfast, child-friendly rooms, and an outdoor pool.
There is no restaurant at the casino but it is in an area that is populated with many restaurants and shops.
Napoleón serves a wide variety of international cuisines such as burgers and chips and pizza and is right next door to the casino.
Puerto Sánchez blends local flavors with classic international dishes to put together a satisfying menu which is reasonably priced.
La Nueva Federación serves only local favorites made with local ingredients too.
